Vincent Enyeama, former Nigerian goalkeeper, visits Super Eagles training ground in Uyo

Vincent Enyeama, former Nigerian goalkeeper, on Thursday, November 14, paid a surprise visit to the training ground of the Super Eagles where he met some members of Gernot Rohr's squad.

Enyeama's visit came a day after the Super Eagles defeated Benin Republic 2-1 in an AFCON 2021 qualifiers in which Victor Osimhen and Samuel Kalu scored for Nigeria.

The former Enyimba goalkeeper retired from international football in 2015 after having reported bust-up with ex-Super Eagles handler Sunday Oliseh.

Vincent Enyeama was in good mood when he appeared at the Super Eagles training where he took photos with the current three goalkeepers in the team.

The three goalkeepers are Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Maduka Okoye.

They are expected to fly to Lesotho on Saturday, November 16, for their second game in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the rationale behind Vincent Enyeama's visit to the Super Eagles training is still not known.

He was recently released by French club Lille and Vincent Enyeama is believed to be looking for another club presently.

Enyeama played 101 times for the Super Eagles between 2002 and 2015 before hanging his gloves.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles of Nigeria who are three-time African champions on Wednesday, November 13, came back from a goal down to beat visiting Benin Republic 2-1 in 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

The Squirrels came to Uyo with big determination of beating Super Eagles of Nigeria having lost their last five encounters against Gernot Rohr's men.
