Okenla Wants Tough Eagles Against Kenya

Ex-international, Folorunsho Okenla, has urged the Super Eagles to display their resilience against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Saturday’s must-win 2014 World Cup qualifying match in Calabar.

Okenla told the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Lagos, that the team must score as many goals as possible to boost their chances of qualifying for the World Cup.

He urged the Eagles to take all their qualifying matches seriously in order to be assured of a place in the global football fiesta holding in Brazil next year.

Okenla, who won silver with the former Green Eagles at the Maroc’88 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, stressed that the team must build their performance level.

He said, “I sincerely hope that the Super Eagles will sustain the momentum they had generated from the 2013 AFCON.

“There is always opportunity to build on a good development; there is always room for improvement.

“The group will definitely want to maintain the momentum, which is essential for their performance at the World Cup and I strongly believe that they will do well.”
