Adriano Sidelined For Six Weeks

Barcelona defender Adriano is set to be sidelined for up to six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Adriano, 28, was replaced after just 23 minutes following complaints of a muscle strain, adding to a disappointing week for the left-back who was omitted from Brazil's squad for the upcoming international fixtures.

A statement on Barcelona's official website said: "[Adriano] picked up a muscle injury in the match against Rayo Vallecano. Tests confirm that the player has torn his right hamstring and will be sidelined for four to six weeks."

Adriano's season has been plagued by injury, with his latest setback forcing him on the bench for Barca's Champions League win over AC Milan.
