Man Who Saw a Grave Discovers Interesting Information About the Person Buried Over 100 Years Ago

A man shared a video showing how he visited a cemetery to research the life of a random dead person.

The man said the cemetery he visited was located in the Hardwick Road Cemetery in Kings Lynn, UK.

According to @findmyfamilykl, he discovered the grave of a particular young man known as George Elijah Newdick.

He narrated what he found:

"I have chosen the grave of George Elijah Newdick. He passed away in 1917, aged just 21. So, I'm gonna go home and research his life and see what I can find. I discovered he was born in 1896 in Kings Lynn Nofolk to Gorege Henry Newdick and Anne Elizabeth Dolman.

"In 1901, the family lived in Regent Street and his father worked as a carter for the corporation. By 1911, the family lived here at 14 Thomas Street. He was one of three children born into the marriage, having an older and a younger sister.
"George was now 15, and for four years, he worked for Mr Scott, a grocer of Guannock Terrace, first as an errand boy, and then as his assistant. In early 1915, he spent time working for the Start Tea Company in the High Street. During this time, war had broken out across Europe and George volunteered in the army in November 1915."

During the war, George got sick with an inflammation of the right foot and was taken to the hospital.

After that, he was returned to England, but his ship was attacked and he was injured. He died at the hospital on April 24, 1917.
