Betfuse Joins WeCareWeShare Foundation To Bring Love at Lady Atinuke Orphanage Home, Badagry
At Betfuse, our mission goes beyond entertainment and gaming, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and showing up for those who need it the most, hence our commitment to making a meaningful impact in the communities that surround us.
On May 31st, 2025, something truly beautiful happened in Badagry, Lagos. Through a heartfelt collaboration between Betfuse and the WeCareWeShare Foundation, the Lady Atinuke Orphanage Home, a safe haven for children living with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other neurological conditions was filled with laughter, joy, music, and moments that will live forever in our hearts.
This outreach wasn’t just about donations. It was about presence, connection, and compassion. It was about kneeling to the eye level of a child who doesn’t speak, and still hearing them. It was about dancing with those who have never walked alone. It was about truly seeing the beauty, strength, and dignity of every child and this is a reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
A Day That Moved Us All
The atmosphere was filled with soul stirring and unforgettable moments;
- Children danced with joy and their laughter filled every corner of the home
- Volunteers prayed, and created space for spiritual upliftment and hope
- A special visit to children with more complex needs reminded us of the silent strength they carry
- A representative (caregiver) from the orphanage educated us on neurological conditions the children face, and the strength it takes to care for them
- Food items and other essentials were distributed with love
- We visited rooms where children with more complex needs reside, offering presence where words weren’t needed
But beyond the activities, it was the smiles, the hugs, the hands held, the hearts touched, the silent understanding, and the grateful eyes that truly marked the day.
Why Betfuse Was There
Because this is what it means to care. We were inspired by the tireless work of the WeCareWeShare team; ordinary people doing extraordinary things, and we encourage other corporate organizations, individuals, and groups to support this beautiful mission. Whether through funding, supplies, or volunteering as every contribution counts.
At Betfuse, we believe in using our platform to do more and to be more. Supporting this outreach was not a tick in a CSR box; it was a privilege. It reminded us of the power of kindness and the urgency of showing up for those who need it most.
These children may live with limitations, but they love without limits. They teach us resilience. They teach us grace. And through this partnership, we were able to witness firsthand the power of community, faith, and unconditional love.
