Odogwu Asaba's Wife Makes U-Turn Amid Rȧpe Allegations, Explains Why She Initially Defended Husband

  • The wife of Delta content creator Odogwu Asaba publicly apologised to women who felt offended by her earlier decision to defend her husband
  • She explained that financial dependence and fear of rejection influenced her decision to stand by him despite the allegations
  • Despite the apology, she maintained that she still believes her husband and intends to continue fighting for her marriage

The wife of Delta TikTok content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, has publicly walked back her earlier stance after defending her husband amid rȧpe allegations, admitting she had acted out of fear and financial vulnerability.

In a video circulating online on September 1, 2026, the mother of four offered an apology to women who had taken issue with her earlier appearance, in which she publicly supported Odogwu Asaba following allegations that he was involved in the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.

In that earlier statement on August 26, she had acknowledged her husband's infidelity while drawing a distinction between an affair and the rȧpe allegation, asking the public to allow the legal process to unfold.

Why she stood by her husband, Odogwu Asaba

Returning to address her audience just days later, she admitted that the volume of reactions to her first video weighed on her.

"I want to use this opportunity to apologise to all the women who feel offended because I stood by my husband, Odogwu Asaba. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have shown my face and that of my children," she said.

She was candid about the forces that shaped her initial response, describing herself as a "male-centred woman" who had spent their eight years of marriage as a full-time housewife with no independent income, business, or professional skills.

Her husband, she said, had been the sole provider for her, their four children, and even her parents.

Odogwu Asaba's wife still believes her husband

Despite the apology, she was equally clear that her stance on her husband's guilt has not shifted.

She said Odogwu Asaba had admitted to being involved with Favour Agbro but denied forcing himself on her, and that in all the years she had known him, she had never witnessed such behaviour from him.

"I believe him 100%. Even if I can't defend it. Even if I can't prove it. I believe him," she said.

She also pushed back against calls for her to leave the marriage, stating that her husband remains the father of her children and that public opinion alone is not enough reason to walk away.

"I am going to fight for the man that made me a mother," she added.
