Isolation Centers In Lagos Station Ebola Victims

Centers of isolation for Ebola victims have been set up and running at the Mainland Hospital in Lagos State, according to SaharaReporters.

According to a correspondent who visited the hospital this afternoon, at the premises of the hospital at Yaba, Lagos State, there are tents, under which the patients are camped and fenced in with planks.

President Goodluck Jonathan today (August 8) announced a National Emergency and approved the immediate release of N1.9 billion to contain the deadly Ebola virus.

Some health workers complained that water isn't running at the hospital, though they were advised to wash as regularly as every one hour.

Security men at the hospital have prevented usual movements through the facility. As there is no known cure for the virus as yet, the patients have been quarantined and their conditions will be monitored.
