In the released videos Rahman, who had been jailed for 3 years after calling for attacks similar to the New York bombing in Europe, commended Boko Haram, recently characterized by the USA as the deadliest terrorist group, and said it is "not necessarily a bad thing" if they kill non-Muslims.
The videos are currently probed by Scotland Yard specialists, The Herald reports.
The leader of Quilliam counter-extremist think tank Haras Rafiq called the videos dangerous saying:
"The comments he’s made about Boko Haram are particularly dangerous, appalling and disgusting. He’s teaching how to hate and anger non-Muslims. That is a real threat to society and needs to be countered."
See the phrase from the video transcript:
"They [Boko Haram] didn’t do to these girls what the Nigerian government had been doing to the Muslims all these years – they didn’t rape anybody, they didn’t torture, they didn’t murder any of these girls."
Meanwhile the whole world has joined Nigeria in the effort to locate and rescue the school girls from Chibok, Borno State, kidnapped on April 14. Weeks after the abduction Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau claimed responsibility for the act and said the children were converted to Islam.
On Monday the Nigerian military said they had discovered the whereabouts of the students adding however that they won't use force to rescue the girls.
