Jose Mourinho has insisted that Tottenham have the winning mentality to land their first trophy in 13 years after making it through to the Carabao Cup final, Mirror.

As a manager, the Special One is aiming for his fifth League Cup title having previously won three with Chelsea and one with Man United.

Spurs overcame hard fighting Brentford by 2-0 in the semis as they await the winner between Man United and Man City.

Tottenham boss Mourinho said:

“I came to England 2004 and I remember in that period I had to learn the meaning of the cups here and I always took it seriously.
“If there is any secret it’s to always take it seriously and respect the teams with smaller quality and go with ambition.
“What I sense in the team is that winning mentality. The guys took it seriously. If you see the winners, you see that the big clubs want to win it.
