Premier League giants, Chelsea have officially announced that Ross Barkley has completed a loan move to Aston Villa for the remainder of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

The England international has been playing for the Blues for the past two years after joining from Everton and has played 86 games with 11 goals.

Chelsea made some signings before the start of the ongoing Premier League season which made the starting XI a difficult one for Ross Barkley.

Barkley has fallen down the pecking order for the Blues with Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic now ahead of him at Stamford Bridge.

He helped Chelsea to Europa League victory in 2019 over Arsenal scoring in the semi-final penalty shoot-out win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, the 26-year-old will not be available for Aston Villa in their encounter against Stoke City as the Englishman is Cup-tied.

“Capturing a player of Ross’s quality is a real coup for our club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team,'' Aston Villa manager Dean Smith explained according to GOAL."

Meanwhile, the transfer window will be closing on October 5 and more players like Victor Moses may still leave Stamford Bridge.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Victor Moses' hopes of playing for Premier League side Chelsea this season has been thrown into serious uncertainty after the Blues manager stated that the Nigerian is not in his plan.

The former Super Eagles star established himself as a key figure at the right-wing back under Conte but struggled to hold down a regular berth under his successor Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

Moses later spent time on loan at Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce and Serie A giants Inter Milan before he returned to Chelsea before the start of the ongoing League season.

Chelsea's manager, Frank Lampard has made big signings this summer even though the Blues are yet to get their rhythm so far in the Premier League.
