Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to accept a pay cut on his salary at the club when he returns from Spain where he is currently mourning death of his mother.

Coronavirus has destroyed all the sporting activities in the world with all Premier League teams struggling to pay their players and workers their wages.

Pep Guardiola is getting £20m every year as salary at the Etihad stadium and the Spaniard is ready to help the Premier League giants in their financial crisis.

According to the report on UK Sun citing The Times, Pep Guardiola has informally discussed with Manchester City chiefs over salary reduction.

“This is our compromise with the club. We know that there will be sacrifices and we are committed to doing this by taking a pay cut,''. one Man City executive explained according to UK Sun.

However, Manchester City chiefs have not officially made any statement yet on the current statement which has to do with Pep Guardiola taking a pay cut.

Before the Premier League was suspended, Manchester City were occupying second position on the standings with limited hopes of retaining their title.

Liverpool are topping the table and are waiting to win their first Premier League crown since 30 years when the League resumes.
