COVID-19: Nigerian lady shares story after defeating virus, internet users react

The coronavirus pandemic is a serious issue that is plaguing many countries all over the world and even developed countries are having a very hard time containing the disease.
The coronavirus is an even harder nut to crack seeing as it has no vaccine yet and it spreads rapidly. In order to stop the spread of the disease, people have been advised to observe good personal hygiene and to also practice social distancing.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a lot of people living in fear for a few months now and people in African countries like Nigeria are particularly fearful because many have lost hope in the government and our healthcare system.
Well, a Nigerian lady who defeated the coronavirus in Lagos, Nigeria, has now shared her story on social media to inspire hope in the masses.
The lady identified as Oluwaseun Osowobi (@AyodejiOsowobi), shared her account on Twitter as she explained how she must have caught the virus in the UK and how the Lagos state government responded to her SOS call.
According to her, she and her friend persisted in calling the NCDC to get her tested when she developed symptoms after her arrival from the UK where she went for a post-Commonwealth event.
Oluwaseun said that an ambulance arrived at her house at 12am and she was taken to the isolation centre. She also said that there was no one there to receive her and that she waited in the ambulance for two hours. Seun said nurses eventually came and they treated her like a plague before she was taken to her bed space.
The young lady proceeded to sharing how she was initially the only one in the ward but that as days passed, other patients were brought in.
