Maurizio Sarri: Juventus boss debunks rumours of Lionel Messi link

- Maurizio Sarri has debunked the rumours linking Lionel Messi to Juventus

- The Italian boss said Messi is still a Barcelona player and he can only comment on his stars

- Messi's future with the Catalans is hanging in uncertainty after a public spat with Eric Abidal

Juventus boss, Maurizio Sarri, has finally addressed the growing speculation linking Barcelona hitman Lionel Messi with a move to the Old Lady in the future.

The Argentine has been heavily linked with a move out of Camp Nou following a public exchange of frosty conversation with Barcelona sports director Eric Abidal.

Abidal, a former defender, had publicly blamed the sacking of Ernesto Varvarde on the players while claiming that lack of internal communication saw the Spaniard given a marching order.

His comment seemed to have got Messi furious who later took to Instagram to vent his anger in a long rant that leaves his future in Spain hanging in uncertainty.

The 6th-time Ballon d'Or winner has then been linked with top European powerhouses including a stunning reunion with his arch-rival Ronaldo at Juventus.

Asked about a potential move for Messi by the Serie A leader, Sarri provided a perfect response that suggested that the move is impossible.

The former Chelsea boss was full of admiration for the Argentine forward but said there was no need for the daring star as he put himself in Barca's director shoes to explain the Messi-Juve insinuation better.

"You are asking me about Leo Messi, a world-class player who is under contract at Barcelona. There's no way for me to give a proper answer," the Italian said.

"Leo is a Barcelona player. If I was a Barca director, I'd say 'What the hell does this Sarri want.' So I prefer not to answer the question."

Messi currently tops the La Liga top scorer chart with 14 goals. The Argentine has also been involved in 25 goals in just 1530 league minute goals this season.
