A student of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia, Kayla Willis, has been accepted by over 40 colleges and offered $900,000 (N325,350,000.00 million) in scholarships from the various universities that accepted her.

Spelman, Notre Dame, University of Georgia are some of the schools that accepted Willis, but she chose to attend Fisk University, an HBCU, and major in International Business, Black Enterprise reports.

Legit.ng notes that Willis said: “I posted, turned off my phone, clocked into work and I just keep hearing a bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing,” she said. “And I’m like, what is going on? Am I going viral right now?”

Talking about Willis'achievement, principal Jamar Robinson said: “It’s just been contagious and I’ve had so many students come up to me and say, ‘Hey, here’s my acceptances, I want to put them on the wall’.”

Willis said she wanted to inspire people and let them know that they could dream big and achieve their goals.

She said: “I wanted to inspire people and show them that you can actually dream big and get to where you want to go.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Ivorian artist O'Plerou Denis Grebet created 350 emojis that celebrate the beauty of African culture in all its forms.
