Duncan Mighty celebrates as he regains freedom after arrest for alleged N11m fraud

- In the early hours of December 14, 2019, news made the rounds that singer Duncan Mighty was beaten up and whisked away by unknown gunmen

- The Imo state police later issued a statement that the singer was arrested for alleged N11m fraud and not abducted

- Duncan Mighty has now regained his freedom and taken to social media to celebrate

The Nigerian social media was thrown into a frenzy after it was reported on December 14, that singer Duncan Mighty, had been beaten up and carried away by unknown gunmen in Owerri, Imo state.

The news was shared by celebrity barman, Cubana Chiefpriest in a now deleted post on his Instastory as he called for help and prayers for the singer.

In a later development, the Imo state police reacted to the news and claimed the singer was not abducted but arrested for an alleged N11m fraud.

The allegation was levelled against Duncan by an upcoming artiste in the state, M2, who claimed the state government under the tenure of the former governor, Rochas Okorocha, went into a deal with the singer.

The deal entailed that Duncan should sign M2 under his record label and manage, promote and arrange collaborations with other artistes. It appears Duncan renegaded on the agreement and he was picked up by the police.

Well, the singer has now regained his freedom and he took to social media to celebrate.

In a video making the rounds, Duncan was spotted singing and praising God after he was released from detention. See the video below:
