- Juventus star Ronaldo is backing the British boxer to emerge victorious ahead of the Mexican
Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has backed British-born boxer Anthony Joshua to emerge victorious in his heavyweight re-match against Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia.
The former champion will be hoping to reclaim all his belts after the bout against the Mexican-American.
It would be recalled that the Briton of Nigerian descent was dethroned six months back after kissing the canvass in the seventh round of their first meeting in the United States in June.
Meanwhile, the Portugal international has confirmed he will be watching the fight while throwing his weights behind Joshua.
Ronaldo said: "I will be watching Ruiz and Joshua on DAZN. Good luck Joshua".
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United has not been in fine form for Juventus this season - scoring six goals in eleven Serie A games.

Meanwhile, he was recently awarded as the Italian league's most valuable player the same night he missed out of the Ballon d'Or award.
Barcelona forward Lionel Messi won prestigious prize - taking his tally to six, one more than the Juve attacker.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Anthony Joshua appears to be in good shape for his much-anticipated rematch with Andy Ruiz after the British-Nigerian born pugilist weighs in at 237lbs.
The heavyweight star was deposed of his championship in June with a shocking defeat to the Mexican champion.
He was handed his first career loss with a seventh-round knock-out at Madison Park New York, thus losing his WBA, IBF & WBO to the Mexican.
