Gianluigi Buffon has opened up about his discussion with Cristiano Ronaldo when he scored the famous overhead kick in 2018.
The former Italy international was in goal when the Portuguese pulled out a superb effort to score for Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the Champions League at the Allianz Stadium.
Los Blancos won the first leg by 3-0 and went on to lose the reverse fixture by 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu but qualified with a 4-3 aggregate scoreline.

"After about 25 seconds of normal frustration over the goal I conceded, I thought about what he had done to me, something really great," Buffon said at the Trento Sports Festival, organised by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I asked him, 'Cristiano, how old are you?' and he told me, 'not bad for a 33-year-old, right?'
"In the end we both laughed."
Ronaldo joined Juve shortly after Real Madrid won their third consecutive Champions League titlein 2018, while when Buffon left for Paris Saint-Germain.
However both stars are now part of Maurizio Sarri's squad after the legendary goalkeeper returned to Turin last summer.
"At the end of my career, I had the chance to play with Cristiano and that's an extra point," Buffon added.
"It's hard to improve if you don't play with the best and I wanted to add him to the list of the great champions I've played with.
"He is an educated boy; you see that by how he behaves with the other teammates.
"We usually take two or three minutes in the training to speak and, for me, it has been a pleasure meeting him."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez both went to church before top-of-the-table-clash between Juventus and Inter Milan.
The couple were seen on casuals with Ronaldo wearing a jeans short on a jacket while his partner was putting on a Kappa tracksuit.
