- Pep Guardiola has shown interest in signing Real Madrid attacker Isco

- The 27-year-old has been identified as quality replacement for David Silva

- Real Madrid are willing to sell Isco if City will meet his price tag of €80m

Manchester City boss is reportedly planning to launch a bid for out-of-favour Real Madrid star Isco as replacement for David Silva.

The 33-year-old announced earlier this summer that he will part ways with the Citizens at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Which will make it ten good seasons the Spaniard spent at the Etihad Stadium since he joined them from Valencia in 2010.

Spanish new outlet Marca has however found a replacement for the enterprising midfielder with Isco fitting the bill of the player Guardiola is looking out for.

The publication revealed that the arrival of Eden Hazard at the Santiago Bernabeu makes the midfielder's case more worse.

However, Real are expected to make more signings this summer having already spent about €300 million, they will need more money to sign more players.

And the sale of Isco would help them raise funds to achieve their aims before the close of the transfer window.

With purchases having already exceeded 300 million euros and likely to rise further, Los Blancos know that they need to earn within 100 million euros of what they spend.

According to Marca, Zidane has already told the Spanish midfielder that he is a part of his plans for the coming season,, but the club chiefs are open to good offers from other clubs.

Meanwhile, Madrid are said to have slapped a price tag of €80 million on the 27-year-old, whose deal at the Bernabeu expires in 2022.

BBC reports that the 33-year-old Silva, who featured in 33 games in the Premier League last term, netted six times as Man City won the title back-to-back.

At the last count, the Spaniard has enjoyed a trophy-laden career at City, featuring 395 times enroute to winning four Premier League titles, the FA Cup twice and the League Cup four times since joining the club in 2010.
