Wedding at a hospital: Couple gets married in MediClinic ward

Godfrey Mogorosi and his fiancée, Winnie Mothibi, planned to tie the knot in Jan Kempdorp, Northern Cape, South Africa on Saturday, March 23.

However, a day before they were set to get married, Godfrey Mogorosi fell ill and was admitted to the hospital named MediClinic Gariep.

Interestingly the happy couple did not let anything stand in their way of becoming Mr and Mrs Mogorosi and they moved the wedding to a hospital ward.

Winnie explained they had been planning the wedding for six months but Mogorosi was admitted to the hospital on Friday, March 22.

“We spoke to hospital personnel and they agreed to give us a ward so the wedding could take place. Although it was filled with mixed feelings, our day was special.”

The Daily Sun reported that the newlyweds met nearly five years ago when both worked at the Department of Agriculture.

Legit.ng learned Winnie works as a social worker and her hubby held a position in the MEC’s office.

"We had to work together during the course of my duties. None of us knew we would be sitting in hospital on our wedding day, but God has his own timing."

Winnie added her husband is still in the hospital but he is believed to make a full recovery soon.

Congratulations to the couple.
