Argentine model Georgina Rodriguez has announced that she and Cristiano Ronaldo are officially engaged and set to marry soon after nine years together.

The football legend and fashion icon met at a Gucci store in Madrid in 2016, during his time with the Spanish club, and have been dating since then.

Ronaldo is yet to fix a wedding date but it is expected that it is in the works for the two to have announced their engagement to their fans on social media.

The couple have five children together, two of whom are biological. They lost the baby boy among their twins during Ronaldo's second spell at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.

According to The Sun, the Al Nassr forward spent over ₦7 billion ($5 million) on an incredible oval-cut diamond ring, ₦162 million ($162,000) for a stunning white electric Porsche Taycan.

The Manchester United legend gave Georgina a brand new Audemars Piguet watch worth ₦109 million ($71k) as well as another stunning timepiece in the form of a ₦87 million ($56k) Patek Philippe.

The Real Madrid legend has also spent nearly ₦14 million ($9k) on new Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton handbags and completed the gift set with a variety of dresses and tops, which set him back an additional ₦39 million ($25k).

There are reports that Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo will get married in 2026.

According to Goal, Ronaldo and Georgina could marry after the World Cup and mark the end of his international football with Portugal.

The 40-year-old who won his second UEFA Nations League title is yet to win the FIFA World Cup.

What will Georgina earn if she divorces Ronaldo?

Legit.ng earlier reported that Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina have a prenuptial agreement which will protect the future of the two in case of a divorce.

The agreement stipulated that the Argentine model would be entitled to a lifetime pension of $114,000 per month and also secure the ownership of Ronaldo's exclusive mansion in La Finca, Madrid, which is estimated to be worth about $5.64 million.
