Ghana international, Thomas Partey has been told by concerned Arsenal fans that he would waste his prime years of football with Premier League giants Arsenal.

The 27-year-old super midfielder joined the Gunners from Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid during the recent transfer window and made his debut against Manchester City.

Although Partey came off the bench against the Citizens, he was unable to save the Gunners from a defeat as Raheem Sterling's goal gave Guardiola and his men the win.

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decided to give Partey his full debut in Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna and he was impressive in the encounter.

His performance which helped Arsenal beat Rapid Vienna made Arteta throw him into the first team once again against Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday, October 25.

Partey failed to make an impact in the tie as England international, Jamie Vardy scored the goal which condemned Arsenal to a 1-0 defeat against the Foxes.

Leicester City's win over Arsenal at the Emirates stadium was their first victory over Arsenal in 47 years.

After the Premier League game, some Arsenal fans took to social media to blame Thomas Partey for leaving Atletico Madrid to join Arsenal.

They are of the views that Partey should not have left a Champions League team for Arsenal who are campaigning this term in the Europa League.

Following the defeat against Leicester City, Arsenal are now occupying 10th position on the Premier League table and they will face Dundalk in their next tie in the Europa League.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Jamie Vardy's second-half goal was enough to hand Leicester City all three points away from home as the Foxes defeat Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Cengiz Under was found with a ball over the top and Vardy made no mistake with him powering home a header in the 79th minute to help his side claim all three precious points.

Arsenal started the game brightly as they continued to ask the questions but they failed to make any of their chances count.

One great chance for Alexandre Lacazette was wasted as he fluffed the ball way over the bar before the Frenchman has another one ruled out for offside.
