Kano state - Former Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alleged that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf got more allocations from the Federal Government in six months than he received in the 8 years he spent as governor.
Ganduje accused Governor Yusuf’s government of spending recklessly while questioning the achievements of his successor.

As reported by Daily Trust, Ganduje started this while speaking after a stakeholders’ meeting in Kano.
Ganduje also labelled Governor Yusuf's administration as a government of vendetta and cluelessness.
“When I took over power, I never wasted time probing my predecessor. Governance doesn’t end with one administration. But Abba Yusuf started his government with probes.
“Tell me, what have they uncovered? They’ve received more money in six months than my administration saw in eight years. Yet what have they achieved?
“This government has no grip on governance. It’s like comparing a messenger with a permanent secretary. Theirs is a government of bandits, clumsy and confused. They spend recklessly on projects without value for money.”
Ganduje gives Kwankwaso condition for returning to APC
Ganduje said the APC welcomes the 2023 NNPP presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, back, but insists he must follow due process and party rules.
Kwankwaso is reportedly in talks with APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda over his return to the ruling party.
Ganduje affirms strong ties with President Tinubu, credits him for Kano appointments, and says internal APC divisions in Kano are resolved.
