The state-owned Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA) arrested the pastor over the alleged defilement of 16-year-old Precious Okafor, who was reportedly impregnated in the process.

SASA boss, Monday Nwokoye, said a security operative from Igboukwu, a neighbouring community, reported that the victim was handed over to the evangelist by her aunt for special deliverance before the alleged abuse began.

He said the pregnancy was discovered during questioning, after which the teenager named the evangelist, who is now in police custody.

The victim reportedly said the incidents began in November 2025, shortly after she was taken in for deliverance, and that the evangelist repeatedly had sèx with her, leading to the pregnancy. She also alleged he threatened to kill her if she spoke out.

“Daddy Ezeani started having forceful sèx with me a few days after I arrived in his house for the special deliverance. I was handed over to him by my aunt to deliver me from the spirit of stubbornness; without the consent of my mother, who resides in Port Harcourt, River state."
“It was my aunt who consulted Daddy Ezeani about my behaviours after I relocated to the village from Lagos, and Daddy Ezeani told her that I came from "seven seas," hence, I needed urgent and special deliverance to be free."
“He slept with me countless times inside his church, farm and residence."
“As we speak, blood is dropping from my private part as a result of the mixed concoction Daddy Ezeani gave me to drink to get rid of the pregnancy.”

His words:

"I have worshipped in this church both as a youth leader and a choir leader for about eight years. I can tell much about our senior pastor and this ministry."
"I can tell you that since I started worshipping in this ministry, all that our senior pastor, Evangelist Ezeani, has been preaching is chastity, morality and the second coming of Jesus Christ, as well as the need for Christians to be ready for the rapture. It is not only that he was preaching repentance, but he also lived by example - he lived by the word he was preaching."
"From time to time, we did go for evangelism in other ministries and churches, markets, schools and other gatherings. He was not preaching prosperity or evil - he focuses on chastity, repentance and rapture."

"We have very beautiful ladies and women in the ministry, but we have never had any case of sèxual molestation before now. So, everybody in the church was surprised that this kind of matter came up."

Member suggests 'way out' for both parties

When reminded that the evangelist admitted that he had sèxual affairs with the teenager brought for deliverance, Onyemechi said it might be so because the senior pastor had digressed from his area of calling.

"One thing about ministry is that God assign everybody to a specific area of calling. I can tell you that our senior pastor is called as an evangelist, not as a deliverance pastor. He is aware of the specific area of his own calling. He is called a preacher of the gospel. He is not called to deliverance or cast out evil spirits, but he accepted to do deliverance. Who knows if that was his mistake?"
"It is not good to leave your area of calling and start doing another thing. I am talented in singing, mostly gospel songs. This is why I am in the choir. Should I leave this and go into prophecy, I will definitely say what the Holy Spirit is not telling me."

He finally asked the security agencies handling the matter, as well as the state government, to be lenient on Evangelist Ezeani by making him marry the young lady, instead of sentencing him.

"If I may suggest, our senior pastor should be made to marry that girl. Do you know why? Sending him to prison will disturb his ministry. That is number one. Two, allowing the girl to wander about will cause her a lot of emotional harm. The best thing is for the two to live as husband and wife; in that manner, there will be no losses."

Pastor Adeboye shares secret to healing

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), encouraged Christians to seek healing through faith in Jesus. Legit.ng had reported that he stressed that divine healing is a covenant right and can be claimed through scripture-based declarations.

In a video shared on the verified X page of @therealchurchg1, Adeboye explained the concept of “divine spare parts,” referencing John 9:1–7 and 1 Peter 2:24, noting that God provides for both known and future illnesses, including genetic conditions or new diseases
