FCT, Abuja - First Lady and wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Oluremi, has raised over N20 billion for the National Library project in Abuja.
Senator Oluremi said Nigerians have donated over N20 billion, and more is still coming in.

As reported by Daily Trust, Tinubu’s wife stated this while addressing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa.
Tinubu's wife had appealed to well-wishers to convert her 65th birthday gifts into cash donations for the completion of the National Library project.
According to Mrs Tinubu, she would embark on the National Library project, which is close to her heart, rather than host a lavish celebration.
Mrs Tinubu said the fund is coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Education under the “Oluremi at 65 Education Fund”.
The former federal lawmaker, who represented Lagos Central, said that he completion of the National Library will be a great birthday gift for her.
The First Lady disclosed that she was a member of the Senate Committee on Education, stating that the education ministry was not able to build the National Library.
Tinubu's wife said the library played a great role in shaping her person while growing up.
She lamented that the National Library, which was initiated during the Shehu Shagari administration, was still uncompleted up till today.

Reactions as Tinubu's wife seeks donation for National Library
Recall that President Tinubu's wife, Oluremi, called on her supporters and well-wishers to contribute their donations to the development of the National Library.
Oluremi Tinubu, a former senator, made the appeal to those willing to send her birthday greetings on the pages of newspapers, gifts, cakes, and greeting cards.
The First Lady urged them to convert the gifts to money and donate to a designated account, adding that it would be the best gift to receive.

National Library: Peter Obi under fire over tweet
