Top Northern State Begins Recruitment of Graduates Who Are Indigenes, Application Link Emerges

Sokoto state - The Sokoto state Government has announced the commencement of its recruitment exercise for graduates who are indigenes of the state.

The exercise, according to officials, will run from Monday, 22 September to Monday, 6 October.

Sokoto government announces application process

In the Saturday, September 20 edition, Recruitment Committee Secretary Gandi Muhammad stated that the exercise aimed to make vacancies available for Sokoto indigenes eligible.

"Interested individuals have to acquire forms at no cost from their own local governments of origin prior to filling out the application process online at the official portal," Muhammad asserted.

He instructed the applicants to register through https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng using authentic email addresses and phone numbers.

Applicants are also asked to complete their biodata and attach documents that concern them, including academic certificates, proof of indigeneity, birth certificate, and National Identification Number, Punch reported.

Sokoto government says exercise free of charge

Muhammad emphasised that the recruitment was free and warned against malpractice.

“The exercise is free of charge, and multiple submissions will lead to disqualification,” he cautioned.

He further revealed that applicants would be required to take a photograph while filling out the online form.

Shortlisted candidates, he said, would be notified through their registered email addresses or via the portal, The Cable reported.

“Any further tests or screening will be communicated officially. All applications must be completed between 22nd September and 6th October, 2025,” Muhammad added.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu had earlier approved the constitution of the committee to oversee the recruitment exercise, which aims to employ 3,000 new workers across all 23 local government areas.

The governor explained that the initiative was part of his administration’s effort to tackle unemployment and strengthen critical sectors.

“This exercise is meant to create opportunities for qualified young people, especially unemployed graduates with NCE, HND, or degree qualifications,” Aliyu said.

Sokoto residents warned against exploitation

The recruitment committee also cautioned residents against paying individuals for assistance with the application process.

Applicants were urged to ensure they had a stable internet connection during registration to avoid disruptions.

APC announces job recruitment

Previously, Legit.ng reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing has announced new job openings. Specifically, the party announced a job opportunity for creative Nigerians to join its team as Still and Motion Graphics Designers.

The party via X, said the opportunities are open to qualified candidates passionate about design, storytelling, and digital content creation.

According to the announcement, successful applicants will be responsible for producing high-quality video content for social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X. They will also design flyers, banners, reports, and other branded materials, as well as translate concepts into compelling visuals.
