Legit.ng previously reported that Tiwa Savage sparked a wave of conversation in the Nigerian entertainment scene after publicly questioning the recent “Big 3” narrative that has dominated the music industry.

In an interview, Tiwa Savage boldly asserted that it is time for the industry to reconsider who is considered one of Nigeria's top talents, saying that Tems, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, deserves to be included in that select circle.

The term 'Big 3' refers to the male trio Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, who are considered Nigeria's most dominant global musical exports.

However, Tiwa questioned the criteria used to identify the industry's 'Big 3', claiming that the narrative ignores the remarkable achievements of prominent women in the Afrobeats genre.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, she questioned the restrictive branding of female vocalists and said that Tems deserves top-tier respect.
