Cardi B is coming out in response to accusations of a paternity battle involving her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, in what many interpreted as a direct shot at a woman who says the New England Patriots wide receiver fathered her child.
The rapper, who just disclosed that she was expecting a child with the 31-year-old NFL star, addressed the ongoing drama during a recent Instagram Live session.
Her statements mimicked the classic opener to Shirley Brown's 1974 hit Woman to Woman.

They appeared to be a direct message to the other mother, an influencer known online as Lord Gisselle.

The paternity case and legal files were released
This public moment occurred in reaction to a legal action filed by Aileen Lopera (a.k.a. Lord Gisselle), who petitioned the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles in December 2024, citing Diggs as the father of her unborn daughter.
The lawsuit, first reported by Page Six, seeks full legal and physical custody of the kid, now identified as Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, born on April 2.
Lopera's filing also requested that Diggs only have visitation privileges and pay for all medical and legal fees associated with the pregnancy and birth.
In a July 2025 court answer, Diggs indicated that he was "not certain" he was the child's father and formally requested a DNA test. However, he stated that if paternity is established, he expects to pursue shared custody.

Hospital video begs for questions
The legal case received more attention after TMZ revealed video footage of Diggs leaving a hospital in New York City with a baby carrier.
The footage, purportedly taken in August 2025, four months after Charliee was born, shows him loading the carrier into an SUV. An unnamed woman is visible in the vehicle's front seat.
However, Lopera's attorney, Tamar Arminak, told Page Six that the woman in the video was not her client.
"I can confirm that is not my client in the video and no car seat has been provided to her," said Arminak.
"My client looks forward to the day Mr. Diggs finally meets, acknowledges, and provides for the infant daughter they share."
A day after the hospital video went viral, Diggs went public with his relationship with Cardi B, fueling even more online speculation and media interest.
As the case progresses, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs continue to face tremendous public scrutiny as their personal lives overlap with judicial proceedings.
