Gerard Pique has reportedly lured his captain at Nou Camp, Lionel Messi into investing mega millions in his company known as the Kosmos Holdings.

The Spain international together with some of his friends founded this company four years ago, and they have been making big profits ever since then.

So far this season, Gerard Pique has not been able to play many games for the Spanish giants as a knee injury has kept the Spaniard out of 23 encounters.

According to the report on Daily Star, that has given the former Manchester United star the chance to monitor his company where he is raking in more money.

The report added that Pique's company is an investment firm that has predominantly been involved in the historic Davis Cup tennis competitions.

The success the company has recorded over the years made Lionel Messi also invest with big money two years ago.

Gerald Pique explained that Lionel Messi was impressed about the running of activities in his company which convinced him to invest.

“Leo knows more than anyone about this because he is involved in Kosmos. He is a partner, he is part of the Kosmos family, he likes tennis.
“We have a relationship of 18 years since he arrived at the club and I always try to share with him things I'm thinking, he loves to be part of it and he wanted to be part of it.”

But according to the report, his decision largely rests on the outcome of Barcelona's upcoming March presidential elections.

Joan Laporta, Victor Font and Toni Freixa are all vying for the position after the unceremonious exit of the former president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Last summer, Messi was on the verge of leaving Barcelona after a soured relationship with Bartomeu, forcing the latter to step down as Barcelona's president.

But now the 33-year-old is convinced to remain at the Camp Nou after Bartomeu's exit.

Messi is out of contract in the summer and he has been rumoured to either make a move to PSG or Man City in the summer.
