Liverpool who are reigning Premier League champions are reportedly interested in the signing of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos who has entered the last six months of his contract in Spain.

There is no doubt with the fact that Sergio Ramos is one of the best defenders in the world considering his achievements at Real Madrid in many years.

Jurgen Klopp and his wards are currently without experienced defender Virgil Van Dijk who has been out of action for the Reds because of injury.

When he sustained the injury, Jurgen Klopp was forced to call on some second-team players to his main team.

There have been reports that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Sergio Ramos and the French champions would make their move at the end of the season.

According to the report on Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to have the Spain international in the Premier League.

However, Liverpool will have to convince Sergio Ramos with big wages for him to move to the English topflight.

Sergio Ramos joined Real Madrid from Sevilla in 2005, and the Spaniard has played 467 games scoring 72 goals for Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are currently occupying second position on the Spanish La Liga table with 36 points after 17 games played so far this term.
