Princess Adedoja: Alaafin of Oyo's 24-year-old daughter crowned Miss Oyo state

Princess Adedoja Adeyemi, the daughter of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has been crowned Miss Oyo state for the year 2020.

She defeated other contestants who represented the 14 federal constituencies in the state, The Nation reports.

Legit.ng gathers that the 24-year-old princess went home with a Toyota Camry car and other prizes.

Princess Adedoja is a graduate of History and International Studies from Osun State University (UNIOSUN).

After being crowned Miss Oyo state, Princess Adedoja visited the palace to get her father's blessings.

The young lady expressed gratitude to God for making it happen. She also thanked family and close friends for their support and encouragement.

In her words:

"I do not take the love and support for granted. Truly, it's not the quantity of friends but the quality. Thanks to all my well wishers as well, May good things fall in place for you all."

In a previous report by Legit.ng, the estranged queen of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III identified as Olori Badirat Olaitan Adeyan aka Queen Ola said she left the palace on her own volition and was not sent away by anyone.

She said this during a question and answer session with her fans on her official Instagram page.

The queen also noted that the rings she wears are not wedding bands. According to her, she was not legally married to the Oyo monarch.
