This is not Melissa's first rodeo in a crime movie. She has had roles in crime-related films such as The Boss, Spy, The Heat and Identity Thief. However, unlike these previous movies where she was always the funny character, her role in The Kitchen brings out a more serious side to her.

Tiffany Haddish

Elisabeth Moss

Moss plays the character, Claire Walsh. Claire starts as a docile and very meek woman and wife. Her husband is quite the opposite as he is cruel and often violently abuses her. Fans of the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale will know Elisabeth from her role as 'Offred'. Just like in The Kitchen Movie, Moss's character starts as a docile and subservient woman but grows into a stronger bolder character as the story unfolds.

While the movie has an array of different male characters that help bring it to life, they do not take away the spotlight from the three women. The men act like supporting characters in this story.
