In other news, Legit.ng reported that Akin Alabi admitted that he would not train his daughter to see marriage as the most important thing.

In Nigeria and most African countries, marriage is seen as the ultimate thing a woman can achieve. It does not always seem to matter whether she has attained great career heights or made life changing discoveries.

According to Akin Alabi, some lady's friends act as if a marriage proposal is the biggest achievement of their friends. He added that this kind of behaviour from ladies fuels patriarchy because men can see how much women want to get married so they misbehave.
