Rapper Harteez rants after spending long night in SARS custody in Lagos (video)

Just when Nigerians thought that the trouble with SARS was already a thing of the past, an event recently happened that shook the ruffles of many Nigerians. An upcoming rapper named Harteez took to his Instagram page to narrate how some officers of this anti-crime body took to accosting and detaining him.

According to the young rapper, he was on his way to Ojota from Palmgroove when he was stopped by some men who claimed to be SARS officials. These men publicly manhandled him and asked for his phone and ATM card.

For whatever reason, they threatened to detain him, and true to their words, they took him to a station in Onipanu where he was detained. Harteez was upset that he had to spend the whole night at the police station.

The rapper who was only released the afternoon of the following day was very angry that he took to his Instagram page to share a video showing just how he was mistreated by the men who were not even in uniforms.

kodedfrankie: "@dope_studios yo. These mofos dont need your ID card or ur polite speech. All they want is bribe. I was forcefully arrested early this year on my way back from work. I even spent 3nyts in the cell for what i have no idea of.... I've got no tattoos, no piercings, no dreads. I mean i work. Buh yet... none of that meant anything to them. They just wanted bribe. It will never be well with them."

dope_studios: "@kodedfrankie Lol I get bro...someone like me ,whenever they stop me,I turn it into a joke and dash them money after they are done searching ,it doesn't mean I'm stupid, just avoiding embarrassment and I also know that I will pay more if I get to police station ,so why not play smart and avoid spending nights in their cell‍♂️...just my own opinion tho"
