Billionaire businessman, Chief Michael Ikuku experienced the wrath of robbers recently. According to reports, the billionaire who threw a lavish wedding for his son in Warri, was allegedly robbed by yet-to-be identified thieves at the occasion.

The wealthy man had thought to hold a special party for his son who tied the knot recently and threw an extravagant ceremony that shut down Warri. However, during the event, reports claim some robbers stormed the venue and made away with Chief Ikuku's bag.

The victim reportedly shared details with the police, saying that the bag contained about N57 million cash in hard currency and naira. His phones as well as cheque book and passport was also made away with. According to the billionaire, father of the groom, his intention was to spray the money on his son and guests at the event.

Legit.ng has learned that the alleged case is currently being investigated by the police. Unluckily for the said robbers, the CCTV cameras at the event captured their faces, making it only a matter of time before they are nabbed and brought to book.

Chief Michael is a well known man in his state. A while ago, he threw a lavish birthday for his 30-year-old wife and invited half of Nollywood to grace the event, including AMVCA's 2018 best actress, Omotola Jalade.
