The Dane applauded his players for giving everything, but admitted that they could not fight until the end against a team with an incredible amount of individual talent.

“Very proud of the players, the club, the team. They gave everything, played against one of the best in the world. 75-80 minutes, gave away nothing against a team with four players with incredible individual talent,” he said, as quoted by NBC Sports.
“I knew we had to do something a little bit different against PSG, so it was like a special operation. It was in medical terms, the operation succeeded, but the patient died. So, not that good in the end.
“I’d like to thank all the players who were brave enough to step up and take a penalty.”

Frank and his players will now shift their attention to the Premier League, where they will face newly-promoted Burnley as they start a season to redeem almost getting relegated last season.
