Premier League side Chelsea are now reportedly turning their attention to the signing of Atletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez in a deal that will cost the Blues £60 million.

Chelsea were initially linked with West Ham United star Declan Rice, but the club have refused to do any business with the Stamford Bridge landlords.

Chelsea have already landed striker Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech, while play-maker Kai Havertz is edging closer to joining too.

Gimenez could add much needed quality to the team defensively with Frank Lampard having focused on attacking reinforcement so far.
