The incident, which happened on September 16, 2025, reportedly claimed the lives of about ten people who had gone to work on that day.

A video shared by @ispeaklight on TikTok showed photos of the victims, along with their names, dates of birth, and dates of death.
The pictures were placed on walls as a tribute to the deceased professionals who unfortunately didn't make it out alive.

Man dies in Afriland towers fire
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the last plan of a young man, Olumide Oyefodunrin, who died in the Afriland Towers fire in Lagos surfaced.
He died a day before his 27th birthday, and his neighbour opened up the last plan he had before dying.
