According to her, she had initially made efforts to greet her neighbour, but her greetings were always met with no replies or cold responses. This caused her to cease greeting her neighbour.

"I have a neighbour I haven't exchanged greetings with for over 5 years. At first, I used to greet warmly but most times, they would ignore me or respond coldly. I eventually stopped. Now something happened. The wife just gave birth on Saturday.
"Other neighbours have gone to congratulate them but I'm here wondering if I should go too. Part of me wants to be the bigger person, but another part fears they might snub me or embarrass me in front of others. Should I take the bold step and visit? Or just stay my lane."
