A Nigerian man told the story of how two pregnant women died at a hospital where he had gone to treat a fever.

According to him, the pregnant women died because their husbands insisted CS should not be carried out on their wives.

In a post that has gone viral on X, the man, Omo Ure, said the first woman started bleeding and died after her husband said no to CS.

Also, the second woman's husband also rejected CS, which was recommended by the doctor.

Omo said the child would later die in the woman's womb, and it had to be brought out through CS. The mother also died.

His words"

"I’ve been at the hospital for some days over a minor fever and I’ve witnessed two maternity dèaths. First case: Doctor advised the husband to go for CS but he refused and said, “since her due date is in two days, let’s wait.” So, he left with his wife only to return hours later with the pregnant woman bleeding. She was rushed in for CS but passed away. I don’t know the situation of the child. The second case: Same CS advise but he ignored. Tragically, the baby passed away in the woman’s belly and they had to use CS to remove the lifeless baby. You could feel the tension in hospital towards the stubbornness of both husbands but there’s nothing they could do since they can’t forcefully operate on the women without husbands consent. It was really a hard phase for everyone. The nurses kept lamenting."

Pregnant woman dies as hospital allegedly demands N500k deposit

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a man lost his pregnant wife after he was unable to afford the N500,000 that a hospital asked him to pay as a deposit.

The hospital reportedly insisted that the man must raise the money before his pregnant wife would be attended to.

Due to his inability to pay the money, his wife died, leaving him alone with their other children who are still young.
