Social media influencer Amarachi Amusi, better known as Ashmusy, in a video on Friday, April 24, 2026, announced that she has frozen her eggs.

Ashmusy, who was dragged over her hips, in the video, detailed the process of freezing her eggs, sharing clips that captured the different phases and processes.

While expressing her desire to be a mother, Ashmusy explained that she wanted to avoid rushing into a wrong marriage because of age pressure.

The 30-year-old influencer also claimed freezing her eggs was one of the best decisions she has ever made.

Ashmusy revealed she chose to share her journey in order to sensitise her fellow women who may need it.

Sarah Martins' issues warning in reaction to Ashmusy's video

Reacting, actress Sarah Martins, who made headlines after she expressed love for Seyi Tinubu, shared a diverse view about freezing one’s eggs.

She warned that it doesn’t prevent women from getting infected with HIV/AIDs and other diseases.

The actress urged the Ashmusy to remind women that freezing eggs doesn’t prevent infections.

“Dear Ashmusy, Thank you for educating women on egg freezing. But, please remind them that freezing their eggs to prevent an unwanted pregnancy doesn’t prevent them from getting infected with HIV/AIDS and other diseases that come with careless bedmatics. It is better to freeze your eggs than give birth to unplanned children. But it doesn’t prevent you from getting infections, my queens. Still use protection. Protect yourself always."
