Argentina recorded a monthly inflation rate of 2.2 percent in January, the lowest in 4.5 years, the INDEC national statistics agency said Thursday, in a boost for budget-slashing President Javier Milei. Last year, Argentina recorded its first budget surplus in a decade.

Mexico on Thursday threatened to sue Google over its changing the Gulf of Mexico's name to "Gulf of America" for Maps users in the United States to comply with President Donald Trump's executive order. Apple has also renamed the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America" for US users of its mapping application to comply with Trump's order.
