A highly placed source in Dansuki's camp disclosed to Legit.ng that there were plans by security agents to re-arrest Col. Dansuki at the airport on his way out of the country.

The source who craved anonymity as he was not permitted to speak on the issue said Dansuki cancelled his 7:30 pm flight after he got wind of the news.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on November 3, Tuesday ordered the release of international passport of Dasuki‎ to enable him travel to London, the United Kingdom, for three weeks on health grounds.

The presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola dismissed the arguement by the prosecuting counsel, opposing the immediate past NSA's need for a medical check-up abroad. The judge affirmed that in criminal trial an accused person is assumed innocent until proven otherwise.

It was on this premise that Justice Ademola ordered the release of the Dansuki's international passports to enable him seek medical treatment for "three-weeks" outside the country.

Immediate past NSA has been accused of illegally possessing weapons.
