With just three days to the April 11 elections, news reaching us indicates that, Warri billionaire and one of Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s political tacticians, Chief Ayiri Emami has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Chief Emami, the reason for his defection is because the PDP can no longer provide the needed shelter for Deltans.
He said, “The PDP umbrella is leaking and can no longer provide the needed shelter for us”, Vanguard reports.
The chairman of the Delta Waterways Security Committee (DWSC), Warri, announced his defection at his home in Ubeji, near Warri.
Chief Emami, a former chairman of the PDP in Warri South-West Local Government Area, elatedly displayed his new APC card as he urged deltans to come out en masse to vote the APC in the upcoming April 11 elections.
He also urged Deltans to vote for the APC’s governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, in Saturday’s governorship election, pointing out that he, his people and political associates had been living in fear of the unknown for quite some years under the PDP.
Ayiri Emami is a billionaire and founder of the 911 Beach & Resort in Ugborodo, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
