Heartbreak as Impressive Serie A Club Midfielder Daniel Guerini Dies Aged 19

- Daniel Guerini was involved in a fatal car crash in Rome alongside two other persons

The entire Lazio football club of Italy has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of their midfielder Daniel Guerini, as other clubs are paying tributes.

Lazio announced the death of their player who passed away at the age of 19 following a car accident in Rome.

It was gathered that fatal incident occurred at around 8pm local time on Wednesday, March 24, including two others who were left in critical condition.

Lazio tweeted on Wednesday evening:

"We are shocked by the pain. The president and all the people involved with Lazio are together with the family of the young Daniel Guerini."

Guerini signed a three year deal with Lazio this January andeven played for Italy at Under-15 and Under-16. Hellas Verona added:

"Hellas Verona expresses deep condolences and heartfelt closeness to Lazio for the tragic death of Daniel Guerini."

And this is coming barely two weeks that a 17-year-old footballer with English club AFC Flyde Luke Bennett reportedly died after being el**trocuted by a live power cable.

Bennett passed away following an accident on Saturday night, March 6, which saw him hold on to an overhead power cable with a metal pole.

It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred when he was attempting to retrieve a ball at Euxton Villa FC’s ground in Runshaw Hall Lane, Chorley.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United family has been thrown into mourning following the death of legendary former striker Phil Chisnall at the age of 78.
