A physically challenged child artist, Bose Okeowo, has drawn a beautiful portrait of Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
This was revealed in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Tuesday, March 9 by Abimbola Olaniyan, a media aide to VP Osinbajo.
Bose who hails from Otun Ekiti in Ekiti state was said to have fallen ill as a baby which resulted in her being handicapped.
According to the statement, she started drawing when she realized there was nothing else she could do except to use her God-given talent which is drawing.
50-year-old Nigerian woman enrolls in secondary school, says all subjects are easy for her except mathematics
The statement also noted that she was never taught how to draw, but with the help of God, she developed her talent in drawing to the stage where she presently is.
Part of the statement read:
“She finds joy in being artistic. Bose says if she has the opportunity to further improve on her drawing skills, she is certain she will improve some more.
“Bose advised other Nigerians with her type of disability not to give up hope and that there is a reason for everything. God gave everyone a talent to distinguish them from others.
“Bose dreams to have her own establishment where she can teach others how to draw and also help those who are physically challenged, to give them hope and empower them.”
Meanwhile, as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, clocked 64 on Monday, March 8, friends and associates celebrated the life and impact of the VP with a line-up of events to commemorate his birth anniversary.
The events spread across states, including Lagos, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
They include the announcement of the Annual Entrepreneurship Development Programme for young Nigerians and small businesses in Nigeria, as well as support for health workers and a nationwide Ophthalmological intervention.
In a related development, VP Osinbajo's spokesperson, Laolu Akande, has shared insights into his leadership qualities in a statement on Sunday, March 7, seen by Legit.ng.
