Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus hitman scores 7th goal in 4 games in 2020

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his impressive goal scoring run with a fantastic solo effort that helped Juventus grab a thrilling 3-1 victory over their league rivals AS Roma on Wednesday night, January 22.

The Portuguese unleashed his brilliant best with a daring display of sportmanship upfront, firing past Roma's goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the Coppa Italia encounter at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus came into game red-high with the Portuguese star leading the attack again in a formidable partnership with Gonzalo Higuain upfront.

And of course, he quickly justified his presence with an astonishing 26th minute brilliant solo effort which handed Juve the early lead in style.

Ronaldo gave Roma's defence a soft run after a pass from Douglas Costa from midfield and shot from the left side. Juventus continued to dominate the game from that moment, with Ronaldo and Huguain putting more pressure on Roma defence.

A slight mistake from Roma backline saw Juventus doubling the lead through Rodrigo Bentancur who converted Douglas Costa's assist into a wonderful goal in the 38th minute.

More unfortunate for the visitors, Juventus got another goal in less two minutes into the end of first half through Leonardo Bonucci.

But for Ronaldo, age is just a number as he reached another significant landmark of his career by scoring his 7th goal in last 4 games.

Earlier, Ronaldo singlehandedly inspired Juventus to victory over stubborn Parma in a tough Italian League clash at the Allianz Stadium last weekend.

The 34-year-old forward scored a goal in either half to help the Old Lady record a 2-1 win and also open a four points gap over Inter Milan on the table.

The Portuguese forward has now become the second Juve player in history to score in seven consecutive Serie A games after David Trezeguet in December 2005.
