Gov. Bello felicitates with Keyamo at 50, describes him as legal icon

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has felicitated with Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message signed by the governor on Monday, January 20, Bello described the minister of state for labour and productivity as one of the nation's finest legal icons and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) per excellence.

“It is my absolute pleasure, on behalf of the government and the good people of Kogi state, to celebrate you, Chief Festus Keyamo, my friend and brother, one of the nation's finest legal icons and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) per excellence as you clock the golden age of 50 today.

“Your efforts in the protection and promotion of human rights, and your campaigns for effective governance in Nigeria have over the years positioned you as a young leader to watch,” the governor stated.

Bello maintained that the Keyamo remained one of the strong pillars in the success of President Muhammadu Buhari, especially in his roles as the director of strategic communications and official spokesman of the Buhari/Osinbajo campaign organisation in the 2019 general elections.

“As you mark this golden age, my prayer is that the Almighty God will continue to protect and keep you in sound health for enhanced positive impacts on the land and people,” he added.

Meanwhile, members of the Northern Governors’ Forum on Friday, January 17, paid a condolence visit to Hajia Hawawo Bello, mother of Governor Bello over the recent death of her daughter.

In her response, Hajia Hawawo thanked the governors for finding time to come to console her family.

She prayed to God to continue to grant the governors in Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari the wisdom, understanding and wherewithal to continue to provide the needed leadership for the country.

Recall that the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had also paid a condolence visit to Governor Bello.

Oshiomhole who met with Bello at the Government House, Lokoja on Monday, January 6, in the company of some of his aides, said he was in the state to sympathise with the governor over the recent loss in his family.
