Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria's former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, urged Nigerians to to perish the thought of dividing the country, noting that ‘God made us Nigerians for a purpose’.
Atiku who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general elections said this in his Eid-el-Adha goodwill message made available to Legit.ng.
The former vice president said that the feast of Eid al-Adha was a reminder for everyone to make sacrifices for the betterment of humanity.
In view of the reported cases of marginalization, rampant insecurity, alleged socio-injustice and a call for secession, Atiku begged Nigerians not to divide the country.
