Just in: Agbaje’s running mate loses polling unit to APC

All Progressives Congress candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has defeated Haleemat Busari, the running mate to the People Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje, in her polling unit.

Reports by The Nation claimed that Sanwo-Olu scored 40 against Busari's 15 votes at the 021 polling unit of Ward A, Unit 021 in Adekunle Anglican Primary School, Makoko, Lagos.

In the House of Assembly, APC polled 41 against PDP’S 13. She and her husband voted at the unit several hours earlier, some minutes after 11am.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Babajide Sanwoolu, Lagos state candidate of the APC at the ongoing governorship election, said the election is not a do or die affair.

Sanwoolu who made this known while addressing journalists after casting his vote at the polling unit 19 in Okunnu, Lateef Jakande Avenue, Ikoyi area of the state, said Nigerians seeking elective offices should put the people first.

Sanwoolu who voted at about to 11am noted that the election has gone peacefully so far, even though there have been reports of card readers in some parts of the state.

Recall that Legit.ng had reported that the governorship candidate of the PDP, Jimi Agbaje, expressed his confidence at emerging victorious at the ongoing gubernatorial elections in Lagos.

Agbaje who cast his vote at Unit 004, Hinderea Road polling unit, While speaking to pressmen at his Unit 004, Hinderea Road polling unit, he revealed that the numbers are on his side meaning that he should be the next governor of Lagos state.

“The numbers are on our side, we also have reports of how things are happening at other polling units so we are confident of emerging victorious," he said.
