2019 election: Sani Shehu mocks anti-corruption agencies as politicians donate campaign vehicles

- Senator representing Kaduna central, Shehu Sani, has called the attention of anti-graft agencies to campaign spending by politicians

- In a Twitter post, the senator mocked the anti-graft bodies for silence as politicians donate vehicles for campaign

- He called the anti-graft agencies to make a move towards arresting the situation

Following the recent donation of 18 buses for the campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari by Governor Rotimi Akeredeolu, Shehu Sani has berated the anti-graft agencies for their failure to track the campaign spending.

Sani, who made this statement on his verified Twitter Handle, @Shehusani, mocked the anti-graft agencies for their lack of attention.

Legit.ng gathers that he also called Independent Corrupt Practise and other related offences Commission (ICPC) and Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to take note of the development.

Recall that that with some days to the general elections, politicians in the present administration have taken their loyalty to a new turn with people donating campaign vehicles for party candidates.

Recently, a House of Representative member, Abdulmumin Jibrin, donated some vehicles for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and vice president Yemi Osinbajo, thus prompting reactions among concerned Nigerians.

But in his rub-hitting reaction, the senator said: "Somewhere I read anti-corruption agencies warning and threatening that they will monitor campaign spending and somewhere I read about serving state governors comfortably donating cars and buses for campaigns.”
